Meet Jon, Ramon, and Lady, We have been together now for over 13 years. Lady is the newest addition to our family. We both love to travel and have been around the world from Thailand, Tel Aviv to Cape Town, South Africa. We love to cook and entertain. Some of our favorite cuisines are Indian, Thai, Mexican, and Middle Eastern. We spent the last 21 years of our adult lives living in New York and Jersey City.
Jon is originally from Utah and grew up in the small town of Fairview. Jon is an artist who works in painting and sculpture. He has exhibited his art throughout the United States and Europe. Jon loves working with his hands and has always had a passion for making “things”. When he is not busy painting in the studio or teaching art classes online he is making some new creations, a trait he credits his mother for. She taught him how to sew at a young age as well as how to use watercolors when he was only 9 years old.
Ramon is originally from Rio de Janeiro. He moved to the United States in the early 1990s living in Florida for a year before moving to New York City. Ramon loves the outdoors and enjoys spending hours in the garden. Ramon is a social worker by trade. He is an amazing caregiver and nurturer, works well with people, and is a true giver. He has always had a passion for food and worked many years as a waiter in New York City. In Jersey City, he ran an underground supper club with pop-up dining and entertainment in a variety of settings including art galleries, cafes, and outdoor barbecues.
Lady Spencer Buckley is a rescue dog from the Laurel Animal Rescue League here in Laurel, Mississippi. She has a sweet temperament and loves to chase frogs, geckos, and all assortments of creatures. Her favorite activities are digging holes and playing tug of war. Lady is a joy and each day is an adventure, she makes our family complete. We are thrilled to be a part of the Laurel community and look forward to good things in the future.
